Then again, the manufacturer's markings on this splendid vintage fedora (Royal Stetson) & its construction all suggest it was produced in the late 1950s. Moreover, its lightweight fur felt construction ensured it was comfortable regardless of the season. Although it doesn't have the tell-tale Playboy name embossed in script on the leather sweatband, this fedora bears all the design hallmarks that made the Playboy such an attractive lid. The only significant difference I can see is this hat has a slightly more narrow brim than the original Playboys (2 1/8" vs. 2 1/2")---a concession, perhaps, to the changing fashions in men's hats taking place in the late 50s... 0riginal Size Tag still attached. One flaw, there is a slight crack in the leather hatband which can be seen in the last picture. Everything else is perfect. Very soft and lightweight..
